Celebrate 25 years of His Holiness Pope John Paul II's message of affirmation, peace, love and interfaith understanding. Take part in the international message of hope and unity.

The purpose of the reconciliation concert is to promote the commitment to a peaceful coexistence among all the children of Abraham, according to a statement of its sponsors: the Holy See Commission for Religious Relations with Judaism, the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, and the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue.

American conductor   Gilbert Levine , who conceived the event, will conduct the  Pittsburgh Symphony and singers from the  London Philharmonic Choir,  Krakow Philharmonic, and Ankara Polyphonic Choir in the presence of Pope John Paul II.

The concert will be performed at Heinz Hall,  Pittsburgh, January 13, 2004 and at a special concert for His Holiness Pope John Paul II's at the Vatican, January 17, 2004.

The invited audience will include representatives of international Jewish organizations, of the Churches and ecclesial communities, and of Islam.
