MENDELSSOHN CHOIR OF PITTSBURGH
ROBERT PAGE, Music Director and Conductor
SUE BANNER, Choir Co-ordinator
The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh was founded in 1908 and incorporated on September 24, 1951. Under the direction of Grammy award winning Robert Page, they have built a broad audience for choral music in Pittsburgh. As the choir of choice of the Pittsburgh Symphony in its home city, the Mendelssohn regularly appears in the Symphony's subscription series singing an enormous range of repertoire from Handel's Messiah to the Mahler Symphonies to the most contemporary repertoire for chorus and orchestra. In addition to its performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Mendelssohn Choir presents a series of its own concerts in various venues throughout the Pittsburgh area.
